Hi guys,
I've had a problem with my climate since I bought the car a couple of years...
When I put climate on low and the car is moving - it's really cold - perfect.
When the car's stationary - it stops blowing cold - it's as though it's switched off.... when the car starts moving again - it's nice and cold again..
any thoughts?
thanks in advance,
Tony.

Does the fan on the front radiator come on with the air con when your stationary,
put the climate on lowest setting and give it a whirl.

Check the pollen filter, that it is not blocked

thanks for the response...
The pollen filter was pretty grubby - just running without it for a day to see if it makes a difference....
The radiator fan does come on when stationary.......
thanks guys,
Tony.

The radiator fan will not affect the air flow through the evaporator,it is the fresh air blower, which blows the air into the vehicle, hot or cold.Do you have the fresh air blower on high enough?

Hi,
thanks for the response...
I'm not sure what you mean the 'fresh air blower'.....
The air flow into the cabin remains the same, but the temp. just doesn't stay low when the car is stationary!
many thanks,
tony.

Okay,i would then think, there is something wrong with the compressor, not building up enough pressure,on idle.Have you checked the gas?

This was mentioned because if in traffic the ac rad in the front of the car wont get cooled if the fan isnt working,
but on the road it will get cooled down
this in turn wont let the ac work properly at a standstill
as its working its not the issue but it was worth a mention.
have you tryed the car on fast idle say 1500rpm to see if that works.
