:zx11: Please someone help me...!

I am tryiny to have a Bluetooth kit fitted to my 2004 54reg Audi A6 Avant Final Edition with MMI Sat Nav and steering wheel controls.

Nearly every person/pro I have spoken with claims a I need some bit of wizards magic to make Bluetooth work.

One chap stated that Parrot wont work and I have to have the Audi factory kit retro fitted.

All I want to know is, please....

How do I get Bluetooth fitted to my Car and how much will it cost...?

Please help its driving me nuts.

Thanks

Birchy.

There are LOTS of kits on eBay for the A6 so there's obviously demand to do this. They're all pretty pricey though (and that's before you get them fitted). Just do a search on EBay and you'll see what I mean.

Well I can give you my experience for what its worth. I have a A6 Allroad, 54 plate 2005. Its got the pre prep phone cradle. I tried buying an old mobile phone to fit in the arm rest, it works after a fashion, but the mic in the liner is fitted in the wrong side and the phone dosnt always connect. Not only that, the phone has to stay in the car. I would love to know how to convert all that to bluetooth, but without much luck I decided to buy a kit and have it fitted.

I ordered a Bury CC9060 because it was the most expensive and appeared to be the best (work was paying). Nothing but problems. Apparently I have a Bose applifier and the standard MMI, it was fitted in March and would only half mute all the speakers and the phone ringing/voice would only come out of the front right door speaker. 3 months later and more visits by the fitters than I can count they still cant find the right part to make it all work. I have asked for a refund now, I think I have been patient enough. They seem to be ignoring me though but thats another story. I will ask for a parrot MKi 9200 to be fitted in place of a refund and see if thats any better.

Incidently the Generation 1 phone cradle and phone when it works is perfect, mutes the radio and voice is over all speakers. Its just a shame that they only do cradles for phones pre 2004, and there is no quick easy bluetooth module thingy that could plug into the helix plug under the arm rest that would connect to any bluetooth phone!

Sorted... Kind of..?!?!?!?

Does anyone know of a man or woman who is trained, skilled, capable and has experience of fitting Bluetooth kits to a 2004 54 plate Audi A6 Avant please...???????

Im in Hampshire so anyone around this area would be great.

Slowly but surely I am getting there.

Thanks in advance for any help.
