Recalls?

I've just bought a 3 year old 1.9 tdi to use in my taxi business, a lovely car that me, my drivers and customers all love. Whilst the service history appears to be ok, I just wanted to find out if there had been any issues relating to this model, so I can contact the local dealer to make sure any neccessary work has been done. For the 1.9, there was definitely a recall for the fuel pump and one for the wiper motor cap replacement. I'm not sure of the actual codes, but Quatrelle also made us aware of a recall for the balance shaft or something like that, but I think that might have been for the 2.0 TDi. Perhaps someone on here will know more info than me.

But look at this site, it gives recall information from the government about al cars. http://www.vosa.gov.uk/vosa/apps/recalls/searches/search.asp

That shows all the recall information for Passats built from January 2005. Hope this helps

I have a Passat 2.0 tdi, and have had a problem with my fuel pump, balance shaft assembly. I read your message above regarding a recall for this problem, do you have mor information please?
