Engine management - Emissions workshop

Hi,

My Golf GT TDI mk4 53 plate - the emissions workshop warning keeps appearing intermitantly (generally when the weather is good) does any one have any ideas.... could this be linked with a faulty temperature sensor?

ps. how much and where can i purchase a fault code reader for my car?

Your best bet is to find someone local with Vag-com or get yourself one. Well worth the money.
