Does the rear washer work, the pipes are known to pop off and soak the lock with water.

well spotted, i reconnected the tubing n noticed the water had got into the small 3 pin connector directly below it, but still no joy, the electric windows/ mirrors and interior lights still do not work. i disconnected all the boot lock wiring and the warning indicator for the tailgate stays on, so i then cut and isolated the small 3 wired connector into the boot lock and still the same. funny how the 4 windows still open and close with the central locking via key in situ though
all the fuses are intact
any further advice how to remedy this? Hottest day in the year n me electrics fail, coldest day last winter n the combi boiler packed up,,,,,luck eh??
many thanks for your help

I had the same problem with the boot light fading on/off and warning sound sometimes but found the rear washer pipe has come off, refitted it and changed the boot sensor - cured. Like Kite says it is a common fault.
I think I have more problems with electrics though - I fitted a kenwood cd player and after a year it just went off and wouldn't come back on (Britney is still stuck in there :'-( ) Checked the fuse in my cd player but it's fine. Refitted my standard cd player and it works but does turn off for no reason every now and then. Also having problems with the cigarette light fuse blowing - seems to only happen when I use sat nav so I'm not sure if this is a sat nav problem or car problem? Could they all be linked to a bigger electrical problem?
Any advice would be appreciated - I'm not hot on electrics!
