Dsg problems

Hi ive got an a3 dsg tdi. I need a small horseshoe shaped plastic piece with ball bearings inside which fits on the manual side of the box as my mechanic tells me. Can anyone please tell me what its called and where i can get one .. Please help..

Mate I'm not sure exactly what it's called but from your description it sounds like a bearing of some sort, my advice would be to try the spare parts dept. of your nearest Audi/ VW dealer. I can't imagine it being available as a non genuine part.
