2.5 Quattro TDI

HI, Im new to your site, Been in motor industry since i left school, (13 years)
I have recently left my current job where i leased a car through work (toyota). Havnt opened a bonnet really for 9 years and alot has changed!
Anyway, Im after An Audi (nice looking cars). A4 estate quattro 2.5 tdi.
I want to know really how bullet proof etc they are. Heard good reports about them. Just wanting basically to know what to look for on the bad points if any.

i've not heard any bad things about them, they tend to be quite bullit proof,
no good me telling you what to look for if your in trade. :)

They are quiet good engines and you can not fault the interior build very quiet when traveling on the motorways ect, main thing to look for is cam wear simple check is view through the filler cap for wear, also good history with proof of belts and water pump change, also the crank case breather as this is often missed and can cause oil to seap past the piston rings causing excessive oil burn, also these should pull hard right through to top gear when pressed if it has no pull and is very noisey and smokey then keep away as the parts can be costly, cams ect!! but dont be put off by high millage these can run well upto 250,000+ if they have been serviced well.
