Hello all, I am a noobie round here lol! This looks like a brilliant forum with lots of posts etcl cant wait to get to know more people and discussing your Audi's - I pick up an Audi S3 in Phantom Black a week this coming Wed.
Thought Id join a forum and get a heads up on them because I have had two BMW's (sorry for swearing lol) before and found it very useful joining a BMW forum!!
So, cant wait to get chatting to people, as I am sure I'll have plenty of questions etc when I get it - I really cant wait. Never had a car so fast before!!
Heres the spec and abit of background to my purchase -
Quickly drove a 3.2 V6 and bloody hell, that is a beast - this had the dual clutch DSG gear box on so was even quicker. Decided to plant my foot and :shock: was must must faster than I thought it would be with that big heavy lump of a V6. So god only knows how quick the S3 is, the S3 is roughly a second quicker, if abit less. The V6 burble sounded very sweet indeed! Didnt want this because I knew that the mpg wouldn’t be very clever with a 3.2L and plus, road tax of £400+ a year :lol: i dont think so :) Over the short distance I drove it, the quattro system made me feel very sure footed in the corners with immense levels of grip. It never lost traction off the lights when flooring it with all four wheels gripping!!
Back in dealer and the sales guy found a black 2007 S3 which I liked the sound of, and plus, it was in my price range. It’s a very nicely specced up motor -

I’ve always wanted a black car because I think they look smart. So, with that colour and that spec, I had to have it, so they did me a good deal (ended up with alot of haggling on the price of my PX but eventually got what I wanted)
Also got a full tank of fuel and 12 months tax. And best of all, there was no extra premium to pay on my insurance – happy days
Pick it up a week on Wednesday. I cant wait. I shall post pics when I get it.
