Hi, i can't find a post with this combination describing if its any good? Bit late now i suppose as my S Line is here in late July.

My old 04' plate A4 1.9TDi 130bhp (mapped to 160'ish) multitronic was amazingly smooth. Yes the gearbox did go pop and was replaced under warranty for a new 7 plate clutch job. That was even smoother. Only thing i disliked of that car was it was so nose heavy. Hopefully the B8 should be a big step forward. Is it?

Stupidly i didn't test drive it, i showed some blind faith as i know Audi is a quality product and this will be my 4th.

So guys, what's this combination like?

I have one and it's fine. I test drove a manual and the auto back to back and did not notice any major difference in the handling etc. Had to take it in a few weeks after I bought it for a software update because it would not go into gear which took the edge off! It's still not 100% right - so it's going back for a check-up.

Does it feel sluggish compared to the manual? In fact does it feel underpowered?

Are you having problems in manual or sport mode?

Also what's the ride like on the 19''s?

I have just got an A4 2.0Tdi Multitronic and have same problem that it does not sometimes go into correct gear and keeps over-revving. Also it sometimes keeps hunting between gears at same speed.

I am wondering if I should get checked out.

Prolems are in manual, and only for a few minutes after starting cold. It's fine once I get going. 19's are great - the ride is not that harsh but you do get a fair bit of tyre noise. I just crank up the volume on the B&O system;)

I would take it back - mine decided not to accelerate at all when I first had the problem and I was on a roundabout! I am going to get mine in when I get the chance.
