A4 B8 -Oil usage???

I plan to purchase an Audi A4 B8 Petrol, late 2009 early 2010.
Should I expect minimal oil consumption or should I stock up similar to my greedy Golf Gti 2007.

Hope not...

I bought a 1Ltr bottle of oil when I got my new 05 gti, 4yrs later i've just put it in the garage having not opened it...
I checked the oil regular, but it didn't need it.
Just an oil change every year.

1.8tfsi very carefully run in. Have done 12500 miles and have just put 0.5l in to refill to max.

I always thought that the diesels were the ones chewing the oil :D

11,000 miles andstill 3/4 full I'm very surprised especially after the other VAG cars I have had.:confused:

Just checked what oil I have and it is Castrol SLX Professional Powerflow Longlife III 5W-30. Can't find this anywhere and the Castrol website says to use Edge 5W-30.

Anyone bought any oil yet, if so what and from where?
