Pick up the new car 2.00pm this afternoon.Ordered on 2nd February and an administrative nightmare since. The garage was more that happy to sell me the car (via internet Autobytel) but once the deposit was paid lost interest. I never received any paper confirmation of my order (until I pressed for it|) , the salesman did not return phone calls etc and generally was a prat to the point of telling me the car was ready to deliver when ,in fact, it was still on the boat! I have a private plate and they completely fouled up the transfer ,which has taken more than three weeks, and I will not bore you with the rest.Anyway, I eventually complained by letter and after complaining again three weeks later of no reply I got an e mail of apology from the dealer boss. They have fitted rear parking senors FOC as a goodwill gesture. When I meet him this afternoon we will have a little chat about client care!!!!
Anyway ,still looking forward to seeing the car ..but will check it is to my spec etc before I pay for it!!
Watch this space!!

I have a story about a broker/importer.
My first A3 was a grey import from Sweeden, the broker (iceberg cars.. they are not about anymore) was based here in the UK. They said a 6 month delivery which i didn't mind for a saving of about 6K but after 9 months, no car a very little communication from them me and my dad  paid them a visit with info gained from companies house.
The two guys were very surprised to see someone knocking on the door asking for the car. It was basically 2 lads running the business from a spare room at their mums house.
After a lot of getting nowhere my dad said, "look... I can pay 5 grand and have your legs broken, but I'd rather spend that on a lawyer and have you bankrupted. You either give my sons money back or deliver the car" The next day we were given the VIN number and 2 weeks later the car turned up, with extra spec :)
On a separate issue, it would appear that the car was given the wrong number plates (it was one letter out) which i didn't notice until 3 years later when it needed an MOT.... That would explain why I never received any speeding tickets from being flashed on speed camera's

Yep got it and got it home! 130 miles from dealer to back door and loved every moment! The dealer boss never came to see me (bad) and sales rep looked scared to death ! I will never see them again or use the dealership so that is that. Spec: 3.00tdi SE Exec. 18 in alloys,DAB, folding mirrors and last not least but free..rear parking sensors!

Thats why I hate Brokers here today gone tomorrow. All brokers source from Audi dealers.
We should all do it ourselves and save money and not pay someone else to do it for us
