I have B&o and AMI (ipod), for a while i wasn't overwhelmed by the performance of the B&o sound system.
Turns out it was because of my lossy compressed music. Ive just been through an exercise of re ripping my music to Apple Lossless format and a higher quality 320kbs AAC lossy format.
320 is definatly better than the mp3 ???kbs i used before but the lossless really brings out what your B&o was designed to do.. i can at last hear the bass. mid and treble without any distortion
Where possible i implore you to ditch low quality mp3/wma/aac in favor for a lossless format (alac, is the ipod supported format) or at the very least use a high bitrate lossy format.
i expect that this will benefit the standard speaker system also.
of course you could continue to use original CD, but where is the fun in that??
