95 or 98 ron on S4 4.2 V8

I assume that 4.2 V8s will only run on 98 ron ? 95 ron would be great as I can buy it cheap at work, but no 98:zx11:

The inside of my fuel filler has a label saying 95 or 98. I run mine on 95 and its been fine so far.

Virtually all car manufacturers make their vehicles to run on a minimum of 95 octane, but they also recommend to use a higher octane rating on such cars as yours. It does make a difference, but if 95 is all you can get then don't worry your car will be fine as previously stated.

I will try some 95 in that case and probably I'll use some 98 from time to time just to keep things smooth.
