Meteor grey, thats reassuring as thats what I ordered yesterday for 10th July delivery. Never saw it in the flesh, but the kids liked pics I'd seen so......

Out of interest did you ever demo the B&O? Any feedback ?

Now that would be telling, managed to get just under 13% off list so you could probably work it out if you wanted.;). Certainly a lot of money but I intend keeping the car for a long time so I thought best to spec it how I want it.

I heard the B&O in an A5, compared with the the standard spec it seemed to have a bit more clarity and less muddy bass, to my ears anyway.

Looking at current Audi used prices, they are taking a huge hit in the first 18 months. You must be rich/mad to be throwing that much into one IMO.

I got mine at 15 months old (8k miles) for 17grand less than the original owner paid! I just couldnt bring my self to lose that much cash.

Good luck with it though, it sounds like a good spec, and from personal experience the 3.0TDI is a very good engine.

Isaac,

I did spend a good deal of time looking at used audis, but there's not a huge amount of them around with close to the spec I wanted. I guess that's why mad people buy new!
I appreciate I'll be taking a huge hit in depreciation so I'll PM you when I come to sell and you can pick up a bargain! (PS It'll be in about 8-10 years). :D

Don't worry - all you'll see is the blur as it passes and the cloud of dust it leaves you in. :nana:

Nice spec indeed. Only thing I'd add is the adaptive headlights which are useful when exercising the engine and quattro on little roads. I'm a bit jealous of the sports diff and the new sat nav but no regrets for not waiting. I've had 9 months of fun out of mine already and hope you enjoy yours just as much. :D

I seriously thought about the adaptive lights, but it's not something I think I'll miss in day to day driving. With regards to the sports differential I guess it's a bit of an unknown quantity, but in the reviews of the S4 it seems to have been highly praised. Hopefully it'll come in useful when I get a remap in the future!:D

The only thing I really had doubts about are the alloys. I test drove a car with the 19 inch RS4 alloys and was not too keen on them for the same reason as I didn't like the standard 5 spoke 18s that come with the s-line, in that I personally don't think they suit the car. That's why I went for the 10 spoke 18s, the dealer didn't have any cars with them on so I had to take a gamble after seeing them here: http://iamaudi.com/sport-package-2009-a4/ .

Another reason for sticking with the 18s is that I'm working out in northern Italy at the moment and the roads away from the Autostrade are lumpy to say the least, a colleague with 19s on his beemer has had to replace three alloys in the past year after hitting potholes!

For me, the pick of the range, with excellent spec.

Can't fault the wheel choice either, I really like the look of the 19s but 18s are the sensible choice, especially when it comes to paying for replacement tyres (£130 vs £250 each):aargh4:
