Anyone going away on holiday this year? We're off for our first trip away with the little 'un this weekend down to Cornwall for a week. I can't wait. The A4 is having the wiper spindles replaced on Friday and I'll give it a check over before driving down on Sunday.

Not like a hairdresser, more like a proud father. :D
"Now keep your speed down, and and have you seen that cyclist. You drive everywhere like you're in a rally" Repeat ad nauseum.....:biglaugh:

I'm counting down the working days to our sailing trip in Croatia. After that, we've got two weeks in Italy in August. First real foreign holidays we've taken in years.

Going to see Hong Kong for the first time in May / June. been through the airport more times than I care to remember but never stopped. Got enough Virgin Atlantic air miles to go there and back for free. My Taiwanese girlfriend will meet me there :D

More of a couple of min breaks, off to anglesey this weekend with some mates to go camping and drinking, off to amsterdam in June for 2 days and just looking into doing route 66 in the summer at the moment, although if that takes too much planning a nice beach holiday some where would be good.

My son has just come back from a college trip to Amsterdam, they went for 2 nights, and thought it was pretty good. Apparently there are cyclists everywhere, so take care not to get mowed down by one! :biglaugh:

Route 66 - good idea. One day indeed I will do something similar.

We got back on Sunday and had a great time. I think the A4 did 1131 miles over the course of the week and was a pleasure to drive as always. I've now got it on 100,000 miles.
Considering we were there over the Bank Holiday the traffic wasn't bad at all. We got back in about 5 hours on Sunday evening.

T'is nice to know you and the family had a good time. Looks like you timed it perfectly, the weather is rather useless just after you come back! :p Or at least its terrible in Cheshire at the mo...

Thanks Paul. The weather was a bit wet at the start of the week, and bar one day when it rained a fair bit this wasn't a problem. It was very nice towards the end of the week.
How are you getting on with the Octavia?

I've seen a couple of people coming into the office today red-faced, and slightly sunburnt! I guess it is May after all, it should be expected. ;)
And you've just reminded me about the Octavia. I've got a new thread to post in a minute. :)

Has anyone got any plans for the BH weekend then? I think it'll be a bit of DIY, a trip out somewhere and a few drinks with some friends. Hopefully the weather will be brighten up a bit for it.

Ferrying the Treg to Spain on Sunday, then to sisters house in northern Portugal for a few days. Then driving across Spain and up through France to our place in Normandy. Should put about 2000 miles on the clock in 3 weeks.:drive:
