Parking Brake

hi guys,
I have an Audi A4 08 model. Usually the parking brake gets released once the car is put in gear and is given acceleration.

For the last couple of days, the parking brake is not getting released automatically and needs to be released manually. Is there a setting for this or is it a malfunction? Help guys.... I was really proud of this feature and was showing off quite often to everyone... Cheers, Suresh

This happens approximately once a month to me, unfastening and refastening the seat belt seems to work for me. This seems to indicate that the electronics are not detecting that the seat belt is fastened.
