After waiting for a very long time, my A4 2.0T S-Line finally arrived. Everything was spot on except one. The Seats that i ordered were the leather/Alcantara, but they got me the leather/cloth.
Basically they moved from my favorite interior to my least fav. And they expect me to live with it.
Audi's excuse is that the coding for the interior for both types is QE. So it has to be mentioned alcantara. And when my dealership had the confirmation list from the factory they did not mention that, so when i tried to at least ask for a refund, they told me the car was initially ordered like that, so i didnt even pay for it.
To make things better, they told me that seats are not retrofitable. my question is why is that??? has anybody experienced changing the seats?
Oh and something funny to add on the boring story above. My car is a TFSI but it has a TDI badge on it! Audi is sorry again! dealer said that hasnt occured to them in the past 25 years.
cheers, and i will post some cool pics of the car once i clear it from the customs.

That is an excuse that is wrong, QE is the colour code, Soul Black and is nothing to do with the material. The number for the material combination is a PR number and yours will be N5L or N7V whereas you wanted N7K or N7U. I wonder if someone mistook N7U for N7V? The correct covers can be retro fitted but it would cost a fortune. A backrest cover in alcantara pearl nappa leather Soul black is £325.
How on earth did they put a TDI badge on a Petrol and how come your un registered car appears to be parked out the back of a B&Q store? Are these things not boxed up when in customs?

Just knock the DI off and there you go 2.0T not the end of the earth, presuming it is actually a petrol- the way they buggered your seats up I would check the engine as well.

I'm not sure what country you're in but over hear alcantara is more expensive that cloth. Have you paid extra? If so you've not got what you ordered. Therefore reject the car and get them to reorder.
So I've got a front wheel drive quattro car and you've got a petrol powered diesel.
They're good at this aren't they? :(

I would have thought they could swap the seats out without much hassle, and the badge is easy. If not reject it!!
Scotty you forgot my lovely variable-paintwork with designer dents S4 :)
At least in my case everything I ordered was on the car (well I never checked the adaptive headlights or auto-dipping)

Whilst you are at it, check around where the wing mirrors are attached to the car. Ive got loads of blue glue all over my aluminium/alloy look trim. If it wasnt for the fact this was a company car and that I waited from end of March to September for delivery I would have said take it away. But its not my money so didnt care that much.
Ive got loads of stuff wrong with my car that if If I paid mid £20ks out of my pocket I would have been very annoyed.

a friend had an A5 delivered and was driving it for a while, when he went back to the showroom to sort a minor niggle out - he discovered at this point after sitting in the A5 in the showroom that his car had not got sports seats, but the normal SE (softer) seats. They checked the specs of the car, and the dealer had ordered the wrong seat/trim combo, the seats could not be retro fitted, and so they ordered a replacement for him.
Lucky so and so had sat nav in both cars, but got an upagrade to the Gen-3 MMI when the car with the right seats turned up from factory.
reject the car - get the seats you ordered.

Am I right in thinking this is a personal import?

What sort stuff is wrong with your car mkc? I'm due to take delivery of a Q5 next week and all this talk of errors is getting me nervous!!

My A3 came with the wrong wheels. Fortunately they are an easy change. I also noticed a slight scratch on the spoiler on delivery, but it's hardly noticable (except by me), so not much you can do.

Thanks for the thoughts guys. Well yes, like one of you pointed out, this is a personal import car. I live in Syria and the car is shipped all the way here now. So there is not much i can do to solve this. Re-exporting is not an alternative, getting the alcantara seats is gonna cost me a fortune, and i cant get a refund from audi because when they received the confirmation from the factory, they have selected cloth/leather by mistake, and ive ended up paying for that and not what i wanted.
I guess i have to live with it. just wanted to share the pain, so new orderers be careful about it!
