Allroad 2004 engine warning light

The engine exhaust/transmition warning light has started to flash yellow and the cars driving really judders. the fuel consumption has also shot through the roof. Help.

You need to get the error codes from the computer. Either take it to the dealer or a local Audi specialist (if they are very close), or call the RAC out - they have laptops that can read the codes. Once you have those we can begin to troubleshoot.

I would not recommend driving it other than to the garage, as it could be anything from a minor sensor malfunction to a potential catastrophic failure and you don't want to make it worse!

Where are you? There might be someone with VAG-COM in your area.
