Is there a cunning tool to remove the plastic caps covering the nuts? Tried with the screwdriver but that marks the wheels!!

Not sure about the S Line but, There should be a small hole in the centre cap, if you can see one, then you will have a small tool in with the jack kit to remove the cap, it is like a bent piece of wire, you push the end through the small hole, twist and pull. ;)

if your talking about the grey plastic wheel bolt covers yes there is a special tool its a u shaped piece of plastic that when pushed over the cap locates 2 little tabs in a groove in the cap or you can use a pair of long nosed pliers gently mind if the wheels are original audi check your tool tray it should be in there

if you are talking about individual caps over the bolts, then just use a larger socket to remove them. say 19mm instead of 17mm for example, they will unscrew with no
noticable damage,

stewy.

This sounds what I need. I couldn't see this so will check again.

Have a look at the large pic.
Just below the wheel brace is a ring with a hook made from wire, this is what your looking for to remove the wheel cover.

The tool for removing the plastic covers over the wheel nuts is this.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW%2FSKODA%2FAUDI%2FSEAT-ALLOY-WHEEL-NUT-COVER-PULLER_W0QQitemZ190299936419QQcmdZViewItemQQimsxZ2 0090410?IMSfp=TL090410124001r21260

It slides over the cover and clicks into place then pull, cover should then be off

This must be it! Is it supposed to come with the car?

The ring is for wheels with centre caps. Insert in hole and pull off.

If you don't have a centre cap and have exposed nuts (fnarr fnarr) then you get wheel nut caps and these are removed with the "tweezers" or whatever you want to call them.

The tweezers are a single piece of black plastic located at the right hand edge of all the other tools (on an Avant anyway)

hehehehe in the time I was outside, looking in the tool tray, taking a nut cover off, taking a pic, uploading it and then posting it.......someone took the easy option of linking to ebay !

you wont remove the wheel bolt covers with a bent peice of wire because that is for removing the centre/hub cover you want a u shaped peice of grey plastic with 2 little tabs on it that is for removing the wheel bolt covers if you have not got this use a pair of long nosed pliers it realy is very simple just put the pliers on the outer edge squeeze and pull

Definitely do not have the plastic pliars. Trip to Audi I think to get some, Normal long nosed pilars did the trick though.....4 sparkling wheels now!
