... what a 'dump vlave' is and what is the significance of fitting one is please.

Or am I correct in thinking that they are a load of boll****!

Audi's use divertor valves i.e. they divert the air around again rather than out to the atmosphere so theres' no whoosh noise.

Many people have fitted dump valves.....but they don't help your car's performance. The ECU is expecting that air and if it isn't there then it's obviously not running as efficiently/powerfully as it could.

Only fit one if the whoosh is more important to you than your car or all the cash you have tied up in it.

p.s. If you do, I'll be taking the **** so beware!! :biglaugh:

p.p.s. Divertor Valve and Dump Valves are both referred to as DV's so be careful if you're out there shopping. ;)
