Rattle ( brakes)

My son had the brake pads front and rear changed while i was taking a well deserved holiday, now while i drive i hear a horrible rattling sound at the rear of the car especially going over humps etc, having scanned through the forum for possible answers anti rattles clips seeem to be the main contender for this problem, i tried to get them from a dealer but lo and behold they don't sell them individually have to buy the whole brake pad kit, i found this on an american website,

even though it's a gti forum, would there be a similar set up on the passat ?, and how can they buy these clips in the states individually while i cannot here. many thanks in advance.

I wish i could, my son lives quite far from me, it wouldn't make sense to travel that far just to give the pratt a rollicking( the mechanic that is) but great idea.

Personally if it was safe to drive i'd drive a few hundred miles. And I wouldn't be giving them a rollicking - i'd be making them fit some more. Properly this time. Up to you I guess. Good luck with the clip hunt. Probably easier to refit the lot.
