I have a 2004 passat 1.8 turbo. In April 2008 i had the mass airflow sensor replaced after my check engine light came on and my car started to lurch forward when i put it in drive. Well the light came back on today and i took it to my local mechanic and he said that it was indeed the mass air flow sensor that had failed and said that the sensor was covered in oil. Where could this oil be coming from and what kind of cost can i expect to get it fixed. Any advise would be appreciated. thanks
