Hi,
When I want to blip past someone, I often drop a gear or two using the paddle on the back of the steering wheel.
This puts the gearbox into manual / tiptronic mode (123456 appears instead of the D symbol in the DIS). The gearbox will remain in this mode for quite some time after the paddle has been used / your driving style returns to normal.
This hint may be obvious to others.. but here goes:
Once you've overtaken, a really quick way to get the gearbox back into D (drive) mode is to push the gearstick across into the + / - slot and then pull it back into the D slot.. the gearbox will instantly return to D mode.
Is this useful to anybody?
Al.
