Hi. hope this thread has landed in the right place, first time poster !!

Just taken delivery on an 09 Jetta 1.4TSi SE but as it is a import (from Ireland) it doesnt have the aux in socket in the glovebox for conecting ipod etc to stereo, as I believe the UK model does.

Does anyone know whether I can get this fitted as an accessory or whether I can simply get an 'aux in lead' fitted from the back of the stereo into the car ?? Ideally, probably dont want to drill through into glovebox as glovebox has a 'coolbox' option which Im assuming i would knacker up if I start drilling holes in it !!!
Finally succumb to buying an ipod so now a bit gutted that I dont have the aux in socket !! (although I do have larger wheels and fog lights and it cost about £5K cheaper than UK model from VW dealership so guess I shouldnt complain !!).

Can complain that only collected car yesterday and today it is sat in local VW service garage having a sensor replaced as on first day the car started mis-firing and exhaust warning light came on !! Anyway, trying not to stress about that and trusting/hoping dealership can sort it out, so occupying myself instead on easiest way of connecting my ipod to my car (when i get it back !!)

Any advice would be appreciated. Not too hot on all this techie-audio stuff !!
Many Thanks x
