Electric fan replacement

[new to vw]

hi there everyone....has anyone ever replaced there cooling fan on a 2.8 v6 with an electric one.....are they any good and do they improve performance of engine....warm up quicker ect....just something i am looking into....
any idea's, suggestion's..
