smooth acceleration??

Hi Guys,

I have a wee problem with my 01 1.8T 20v, well I think its a problem!!

Basically when accelerating from 1st then into 2nd the car seems to be hesitant...
In my mind it should be nice and smooth but ias I say its a bit hesitant.
What would this be?????

Also, what mpg should I be getting?? I very rarely get it over 24-25mpg!

Try removing and cleaning your throttle body. Usually the cause!
