Hello,

Anyone looked at getting a 1.8TFSI (120bhp) remapped? I have heard revotek are the first to tackle this engine (has anyone used them).

I am just wondering what is possible from the 120bhp engine do you think it could be remapped similar to the 160bhp version?

I have looked at loads of remap sites and they all suggest they do not harm the car - anyone have good/bad experiences with remaps in the past?

Any help appreciated - I am not looking for excessive gains, just want a bit more kick out of the 120bhp engine - even happy to be a guinee pig for a professional remapper....

210PS........What went wrong then? Mrs Crasher's 2006 Polo GTI does that with just a remap. :burnout:

Hi, Ive got a remapped A4 1.8t. Had it since 65,000 miles remapped it straight away and now I'm at 111,000 miles. The only thing I've had since then has been a clutch, and water pump. Both common items. Id 110% recommend it

I had my 1.8T 160 remapped.

If you're seriously considering the remap find someone who will do so using APR software. Dont get some cheap plug and play software.

My car was running 177bhp beforehand. Now sitting at 215bhp.

I'll be honest, i was always a tad scared to remap any of my previous cars but haven't regretted it.

More Power/torque, less wheel spin than before, better pull higher up the gears whilst on motorway etc, car honestly drives amazing.

Yes, i had to get a new clutch and DMF fitted but my clutch had slipped a few times before the remap, so would have needed done anyway.

Go for it! you really wont regret it.
