Hi all, I have not had my 2.0 TDi A4 S-line 2005 for long, but I have notice the occasional 'stutter' in second gear, when acceleration at part throttle I suppose.

Any ideas most welcome! Perhaps it is a characteristic of the engine...?

Thanks very much.

Is it at about 1800-2800 rpm? and whilst driving very gently?
If so i have the same problem, i thought mine was down to the injectors.

Thats the one, although I would say that it also occurs when accelerating normally in addition to gentle part throttle. Normally only in second gear as well!

Perhaps it is a characteristic?

Mine does it sometimes too.

I've noticed it in all gears between those revs. Only when driving gently to normal, never does it when driving hard.
It really is a right pain in the ***, i did put some red x advanced in a few months back and it seemed to work, but only for a while.

Reading another thread on here, could this be an issue with the tandem pump......?

Cheers!
