Well I am back in the fold after three years with Mercedes.I love the ride in the Merc so have ordered the A4 with 17" wheels and standard suspension.Car is an A4 quattro 3.00tdi se exec. I can spec it with 18" wheels .I tried an A4 2.00 T with S line sports suspension 18" wheels and found it very crashy over my local country lanes. But will 18" wheels with standard suspension be a good compromise or do I stick to standard 17".Help please

18"s I'd say.
I've said before as the A4 has got bigger, you want the wheels to size up too. One reason why I upgraded from 16"s to 17"s on my first B7, was that the 16"s didn't look quite right.

I have now paid deposit and ordered 18" 15spoke as with Exec pack "only" cost £295 so not bad in the ziggurat of it all.It is totally exhausting buying a car and all the hassle from the dealers..talk about horse trading ! I bet our ancestors bought their horses with less hassle than we do with cars!

18" are the way forward. A4 SE does not look that hot with 17". But thats my opinion!

Robtt09 - Not going for the S3 then!!!

No S3 head ruled the heart !But I have loved my C320cdi Merc which has a marvellous 3.00 diesel onlydrawback was the lack of traction.Hope quattro will solve that with the A4.
