Anyone had any experience of this ? I would've assumed the 20K service would be the same from all dealers but it seems to vary, the two I recieved are £293 and £278 !

Audi Centre can charge what ever Labour rate they want so there will be different cost per centre. Audi UK can not do anything about it European law and all that.

I had a service on my A4 3.0TDI when I had it I think it was about the £250 approx Company paid so I did not take to much notice

DickLovett in Bristol charged me £220 for an oil change on a 1 series. Then wanted it back 4 months later for a £110 "whilst you wait" Micro Filter change...........

What is it Audi do then on a 1st service on a A4?

Not sure to be frank, I reckon it'll be a oil change, there's definitely a pollen filter change. Seems abit steep compared to my Lexus (who are not exactly reknowned for being competitive).

My advice would be to find a good independent VAG garage/mechanic
I did and saved over £100 on first service (17000 miles)
Everything was done as per warranty schedule oil filters and a scan to make sure everything was OK Genuine parts and all stamped up:biglaugh::biglaugh:
£100 left for:beerchug::beerchug::beerchug:

Had my first service about 2 weeks ago and it cost £329! Service from the dealer was good though with the car collected and returned in the same day and nicely cleaned inside and out.

Did seem a bit dear but all the dealers around here (sussex / surrey / hampshire) seem to have the same-ish labour rate...... Had a couple of recalls whe it was in as well so nice to get them done.

Audi Exeter seem to be rocord holders for service charges.
