do you knowledgable boys and girls think 200 mpg for half a tank is ok 95% town driving strugling to hit 30-40 mph most of the time
1.9 TDI 130 bhp tiptronic 54k on clock seems low to me , out side of town at 60-70 mph i fuel consumption is brillent but not sure in town:biglaugh:

200mpg!! I assume you mean 200 miles to the half a tank point? Seems a little low, i'm sure my old PD 130 used to do around 250 to half a tank but maybe a current owner can varify?

My golf 150 does about 400 to a full tank round town and 500 if i do a long drive.
Haven't had a chance to do a long stint on the motorway yet :D

im nto sure what i get to a full/half tank, i work in terms of how much i spend, to a tenner i get around 100 miles, i put £30 in to go to wales few weeks ago, did nearly 380 miles on the back of that. 400 miles to a full tank sounds a bt low to me mate :(

That's 400 round town (not getting over 40mph). I'll own up to being a little heavy footed when i'm driving ;) but i thought that wasn't too bad for a lot of little journeys when the car doesn't even get a chance to heat up properly.
I'm off to Scotland next weekend so I'll see what i get on a fairly long trip (hopefully about 500ish :D)

My passat which i use as a taxi gives me 600 miles per tank and thats mostly town driving so you are certainly falling short

Seems good too me.. heard these are engines are 3 cylinders maybe thats why so good...
