Ive just bought an N reg Sharan and it all works perfectly apart from the fact the passanger window and the two middle windows wont clos when they have been opened.
If you open the window from either the centeral console or the door switches they open fine. The problem is they wont clos up again from any of these switches. The window will fully close but will then will come about hlf way down again and this happens all of the time so its not an ocassional problem. The driver door window is fine and will close from the switch once opened but this is the only one of the four that will.
Ive tried changing the ECU from beneath the passanger seat but this has had no affect.
The windows will however close if you lock the car so I dont think it is to do with the centeral locking side.
I think there must be a sensor that is telling these windows something is traped and that is why they are opening again but Im not sure why it is not affecting the driver door window. Perhaps there is a relay that is faulty or a sensor.
Any help would be appreciated.

Does it have a childproof button like some of the later VAG cars? Some childproof electric windows disable the buttons from the back doors, but are controlable from the drivers side main controls (so the kids can't open the window but you can) Maybe that's faulty?

are the windows stiff in the runners? if they are too stiff the mechinism will cut out. try squeesing some washing up liquid inside the rubber channel and see if that helps. if so the do the same with wd40, but dont over do the wd as you will have to put up with the smell afterwards
