Hi all
My car has just completed 32K and was dropped off at the dealers for it's second service. Igot a phone call from them today telling me that they were replacing the cylinder head under warranty. I called in and spoke to the mechanic whom stated that he noticed that the coolant level was low so he carried out a pressure test and he wsn't happy with the result so they had opted to change the cylinder head.
I have never topped up the coolant in the 16k since the last service so the loss is very minimal.
From what I've read there appears to be a problem with heads manufatured around 2006.
I assume that the new head will not suffer the same problem.
Can anyone offer any reassurance, as I nver expected to be carrying out such extensive repair work on relatively new low mileage Audi?
Thanks
Ian
