Happy New Year.

I got an early Christmas gift of a new A4 bought outright by the company, I have just reached 1500km and thought I would share a couple of points.

Good points :bigok:
Refinement and build quality are excellent - no rattles and very quiet
Stereo - I thought the speakers developed a little fart but then realised it was James Morrision strumming his guitar very quietly, something I had not heard before on this part of the track - good stereo.
Reversible boot flooring - great idea
Engine - very quiet
Back seat folds as good as flat very good.
Offset pedals are forgotten about very quickly
Looks - It looks fly!!!
Coming home lights - love them
Auto preheat of the glow plugs - great no more turning key half way and waiting even in this cold weather, push the key, just as I click the seat belt the cars starts to purr.
No dip stick - no more mess

Bad / frustrating points:smashfrea
1st gear clutch - 1st gear was difficult to engage unless the clutch was fully depressed, however I find that the edge of the car mat gets in the way of my foot so I end up having to stand on the clutch with tip toes.
Speed - I should have gone for the 170
Economy - still a little low by 5mpg, hopefully will improve with time
Retractable cargo net just behind headrests on back seat - How heavy is this? I tried to take it out to drop the seats - I now know where my 5mpg has gone.
Heater - trying to turn the heater off Auto to change the distribution of the warm air

Overall very impressed with the car - probably the best car I have had and def better than the 3 series and passat.
