Hi,

My 1996 A4 TDI has the following symptoms:

Temperature guage barely moves anymore. even after 100s of miles of driving. It used to stay at 90 when warm.

Takes a while to start from cold

Is this likely to be a faulty temperature sensor? I've plugged the car into vag.com but no faults are logged. Also does anybody know how much this is likely to cost me?

Cheers

Hi If you have a normal temperature from your heater, then your engine is running warm enough, and i would say it was a fault with the sensor.it is not an expensive part and easy to replace.

I would go for an original VAG part, when replacing sensors,
