Hands feee kit removal?

Hello chaps

The time has come to remove the professionally fitted Nokia hands-free kit in my Passat. The cradle can easily be removed from the dash air vent area, but I am not sure what to do with the cable that remains. Can I just cap it with something and stuff it behind the vent??!

I don't really want to rip the whole kit out as I might want to reinstate it one day.

Any tips?

PS: I am a complete novice when it comes to electrical stuff!

Fitted one from spare parts we had from work for my Nokia 6110 in my previous car. You can just stuff the wires behind carpet or under dash there should not be any chance of electric short or shock. From what I remember the cradle had male plugs that went into the black box so all should be safe.
