Hi Guys

Just a quick question, I have a 02 1.9 TDI 130 Passat and its up for sale and someone has asked me if it has a PD engine, how do I find that out???????

it will be a pd i'm sure, but an easy way is to look at the engine.
if it's a pd it won't have injector pipes,or a pump.

It is 100% definitely a PD engine.

In a nutshell the injectors work individually, adjusting the mixture of fuel, rather than injecting a set amount.

If its a 5 speed it will be a AWX PD130 or if its 6 speed I think its AVF PD130.

Its 5 speed auto if that makes any differance and in the log book its a AVF engine. Thanks mate

Well that is a bit of an odd question as I was just pointing out what it is rather than giving my opinion but I suppose it depends on what you want from it, some people prefer more torque, others don’t care but most are obsessed (some to the extent of hysteria at the moment) with economy.

Ok mate I didn't know there were different specs for the 130 thats all, I think I prefer torque but being an auto its not so noticeable if you get my drift.
Anyway thanks for the input.
