Against the wiser adviceof A8tech I had cruise and genuine bluetooth retrofitted to my B8 S-line with Audi infotainment. The guys installed it well and the cruise is brilliant but they have been unable to encode the blutooth module. Their software (Vagcom I believe) is not yet updated. From other posts it appears that the Kufatech kit may have been a better bet.
I took the car into my local dealer for other work and asked them to enable it. I paid £50 + vat but got no further down the road. It seems that the Audi central computer now knows I have bluetooth - but thats it.
The unit works at a basic level. If I call using the phone it routes through the car mike and speakers but the telephone screen on the infotainment unit just says please wait or SIM not inserted. No phone book or list of calls etc. It's nearly three months now and I'm wondering whether to ask them to take it out and try the Kufatech kit- I guess this gets around the module encoding problem.
Does anyone know any more on this.
