Whilst changing the oil on my Wifes 2.0 TDi, I noticed that the front engine mount didn't look quite right. The alloy bracket that is attached to the engine has a yellow coloured rubber block fitted to it. This block at the minute is resting in the bottom of the alloy housing that is attached to the body where the steel pipe for the intercooler runs from o/s to n/s under the radiator.

By pushing up on the sump it is possible to move the rubber up and down within the housing. Am I right in thinking that Audi didn't design it to be this way and its broke (which would explain her remarks that it felt abit like her old Mini's when the mounts were shot at).

Is it an easy enough job to replace and does anyone have any idea of the cost of the parts ?
