Anyone advise me what the problem might be with loading all my contacts on to the bluetooth phone system in my car. I have a 57 reg 2.tdi Sline with Sat Nav plus and phone prep, after collecting the car following a 20k service form the dealers I've noticed that not all the contacts in my phonebook are loading in to the car's bluetooth system. Whilst the car was serviced the dealers also completed a recall fix on the phone system, I remember someone posted a thread on a similar issue a few weeks ago but I can't find it.

The software version for the phone control unit has been updated. You can try to reset the phone by deleting the all paired phones in telephone set up function on the rnse unit.Repair your phone turn the ignition on pair 1234 within 5 Min's now allow the phone to transmit the phone book when asked this can take 30 Min's in some cases. If you still cant transfer but the phone works then check your phones firmware version and make against the phone list i have posted on the forum. If your phone is not approved but worked with the earlier sw version then this is the cause.I always ask the customer to leave the phone to check these basics and if its not approved but works i don't carry out the update because 9/10 this fault occurs.

Thanks for that advice, I shall do what you suggest and see what happens, the other thing I noticed when I got the car back from the dealer after the 20k servcie is that the service indicator doesn't show the number of miles or the number of days when the next service is due - is this right?

Thanks for your help.

It takes a couple hundred miles of driving for it to reset. Don't worry about it- I think it monitors your driving patterns and works out the next service interval.

The dash serivce adaption channels have been reset to 0 value so as you drive the car and they start counting up then the display can calculate the next service schedule and display the data on the dash

I followed a8tech's advice re: sorting out the phonebook but it didn't work so will ask the Audi dealer to restore the bluetooth to what it was before the recall fix.

Hi there,
pick had the same problem with mine there may be a couple of reasons, the phone book has to many entry's for the memory on the MMI.
or the phone is going to auto lock during the update procedure.
my phone used to stop outgoing calls after the screensaver became active.
