lost key!!!

Im having an awful month and this is just the last straw for me!

Ive lost the only key i had for my 1997 Passat, whats going to be the cheapest way of getting a new ket cut and programmed?:zx11:

cheapest way is to find the old one.

not sure if mobile locksmiths can recode a new key via vag com , but its a possibility .

can you get a key cut without one to cut it from? i think vw can do this but can anyone else do this?

My cobbler can do it if you have the key code...

Have you had a replacement key cut snapdragon? the cobbler/keycutter(timpsons) around my way says he can't do it. Just wondering if i should try somewhere else....:confused:
I only have one key, lost the other but still have the keyfob and a blank HAA key (yet to be cut).
