Hi First time in the forum.
I have a B5 passat on a 53 plate with intermittent alarm sounding also the four indicators do not always respond when locking. The alarm is random triggering
will this trigger a fault code ? and does any body know where the siren is fitted so i can disconnect it while diagnosing the fault. would vag-com or fault code reader assist tracing fault

Welcome, Had a similar problem last year, it turned out to be a duff battery, have you had any cold morning start issues?
Another thing to look out for is wet carpet on the passenger side, there are plenty of links on here regarding this subject, just do a search for Wet Carpets, Plenum Chamber, Steamy Windows you will find something.

Thanks for your responce.
Starting on any morning hot/cold is no problem.
I have removed front pasangers door trim and lifted the carpet, dry as a bone.
steamy windows I do have. ?
