Steering issue?

Hi all,

I have an issue concerning me with the 'feel' of my steering and I am wondering if it is normal. When you are steering quite heavily (not necessarily fast) there feels like a bit of a clicking feeling occasionally through the steering wheel - it almost feels like a bit of slippage on the rack??

I'm just curious if anyone elsea has noticed this before I take it to the dealer (08 plate 2.0TDI SE)

I have just noticed this a few days ago in my passat 2.0 TDI, if i am stationary and run the steering back and forth i can feel / hear a click.

It doesnt seem the effect the car though, i think it must just be play in the steering rack

Its due a service soon so will ask when it goes in.

Let us know if you get the bottom if it in case it is serious.
