Hello everyone this is the first time using the forum so here goes. I have run my current passat 1.9tdi 90 2000 on a v reg for the last five years with no major problems that i havent been able to sort out , so after driving the car last night i noticed that the clutch is at the top of the pedal but not slipping spoke to local gsf who have told me to replace the dual mass flywheel has well has the clutch at a cost of £230. spoke to a guy at work who worked for a vw garage who has told me that if the clutch isnt slipping there will be no need to change the flywheel the car has covered 125000. miles:confused:

Hello and welcome to the forum. Only the foolish don’t replace the DMF. It may be OK now and in six months but how will you feel in a year’s time if the DMF starts failing and the box has to come out again?
