Symphony and MP3's???

does anyone know if the symphony head unit with the 6 cd changer built in will play mp3 cd's? and if so what format do they need to be as I put a cD in mine and it just said it was one long track and gave no sound :(

It says so in the brochure......"Audi Symphony radio with integrated front-loading 6-CD changer and MP3 file compatibility"

Hi Karl,

Only the latest edition of the Symphony radios will play MP3's.
Not sure how to tell if you have one other than taking it out and looking at the sticker on it, but I have a 2005 A4 and mines doesn't play them.

As for format, no folders, .mp3 files

aahhh mine was new late july 2005 so poss wont do it....but i had tried a CD with folders so ill make another with out and see what happens.

I have a Symphony II+ 6CD MP3 compatible unit that I am thinking of selling.

Look on Ebay to see how much the Symphony II's go for then PM me with a sensible offer...
