:1zhelp:Hi - I have a Mk4 Golf 1.8 Non Turbo Gti.
At the weekend the Central Locking, Electric Windows and Interior Lights stopped working. I've checked the fuses and none of them are blown. The central locking works off the key as do the electric windows if I turn the key and hold it, so I know they are working ok. I've changed the batteries in the remote and still nothing. Can anyone advise what the problem may be?:1zhelp:
Just to add I was changing the rear bulbs in the back when this happened.

Search is your friend.
Look in here (http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/search.php?searchid=751742), (presume it's a Mk4 Golf?)

Thanks but couldn't find any answers! Can anyone else help? I'm concerned that the alarm and immobiliser won't be engaged without the remote locking and it might get nicked!
Thanks in advance

Hi, I have the exact same problem... the red led light flashes all the time - with the engine running, or when the car is locked, unlocked....
The only time I've managed to get the light to flash differently was to remove fuse 14 and put it back in again. But after starting the car again the flashing goes back to constant.
Trouble is the back window opened half way this afternoon whilst I was checking all the switches and I can't get it to go back up... strange as have had this trouble for some weeks now.
I can find many posts on this forum with the same symptoms but none with any reply fixing it :1zhelp::confused:

You will need a fault code read on the central locking,to find out what is going on.
