Quick Q's which might sway the car I (eventually!) get:

1) Is the three year Audi warranty honoured by any Audi dealership?
2) If it is (which I think it is) is a dealership other than where you bought the car likely to be less inclined to do the work? Or does it make no difference as they get money fromAudi for doing it?
3) How about a 12 month warranty on a car not quite within the 3 year Audi warranty? Is that only honoured only by the selling dealership or, since it is an 'Audi used car' from an Audi dealership, is it honoured by all?

Many thanks!

I bought a 6 month old A4 S line from a North West Audi dealer and when I had a few niggles with it that needed fixing under warranty, the work was done without any hassle at all by a Yorkshre Audi dealer. So don't worry about the validity of the audi warranty it is honoured by all their franchised dealers.

That is true,

Just watch out for the dealers who:

Forget to tighten the bolts on your drive shafts and gearbox

or

Who drive over scaffolding damaging your car

Thanks folks. This leads nicely on to:

I'm hoping to get them to throw in 2 Yrs free servicing when I buy the car (times are hard, there's a credit crunch on!). Is this also at any Audi dealership or only the selling franchise?

And is it completely free or do they service it for free but make you pay for parts etc?

Thanks again!

Any Audi dealer will service it as you will get a service agreement number to quote. As for parts, only the service items due for that mileage will be covered but nothing over and above, and no `wear and tear` items such as brake pads/plugs etc.
