hi i have a a4 tdi 140 s line steering wonders and at times gives you a bit of a scare especially on poor camber roads also just reached 9000 miles and need new front tyres,i know it sounds like i have a lead right foot but this is not the case anyone else found this problem:confused:
I have had my A4 sline 2.0TDI 140 for just over a month. I bought it at 9000 miles and the tyres looked as good as new. I find the steering great and very direct. Sounds to me like you have a fault a worrying one at that. Get back to the Audi garage and get them to sort it and sharpish. Steering is sort of a key tihng for a car :biglaugh:

Hi Pete,
You say you need new tyres, is that because the whole tyre is worn or just one side?
Have you checked your tyre pressures to make sure they are right?
What size tyres do you have?
If you have 18's then I'd say it's more than likely due to the tyres as the 18's do tram line quite badly especially when they are worn or at wrong pressures.
As for the tyre wears it all depends on the brand of tyres and whether you drive it sportily or not. Now I don't mean burning away from every set of lights or thrashing it on back roads, but I had a Golf GT TDi 140 from new and I went through the Pirelli's on that in about 9000 miles because I wasn't used to car torque and ability to spin the wheels, even just slightly when you are driving!!
Hope that little lot helps
Paul :biglaugh:
