wipers wont stop

hi im new to this site so hope im in the right place ive got a mk4 2002 golf gt tdi and the wipers wont stop until i turn the ignition off they will stay off until i turn them on with the stalk then they stay on again can anyone please help many thanks.:aargh4:

welcome to the forum kom.:D
their have been a few wiper problems showing up of late,all similar to yours.
first of all, if you scroll right down to the very bottom of this page you will find "similar threads" these may help you,if not try the search facility, similar probs have been sorted by simply bending the arm a little.
