View Full Version : Where do they hide the MP3 player?!

Hi,

I'm considering a '56 plate A4 Avant (B7) with what they are claiming is a 'radio/cd/mp3' player. My question is where do they hide the MP3 player connection?! It seems to be a 'Concert' radio/cd/mp3 player.

I'll be honest, I completely forgot to look for this when I test drove the car. Is it likely to be SD cards hidden somewhere like with the SatNav type radios? I've had a look at the pictures of the car online but they're not particularly helpful!

Also, completely unrelated to the post title I appreciate, should I steer clear of a car (2.0,140, TDI, SLine) that has done nearly 60,000 miles? What sort of mileage are the engines/car good for? It has a FSH.

Additionally (really off track now!), do they have undertrays (again, I forgot to check)? And how simple is the basic servicing (oil, filters, brakes etc) as I'd probably look to do this myself, leaving the Cam belt change (80,000 miles) to a garage.

Many thanks!

OK a few answers for you :D

- MP3 should mean the iPod connector dock which is hidden away in the glovebox

- 60,000 miles is fine- my 1.9TDI had 85,000 when I gave it back to my old company and was still running sweet with full Audi SH- in fact I wanted to buy it but they wanted it back in the fleet.

- Did you notice if there were seat nets on the back of the front seats, if so you will have the storage trays too as these were part of the storage pack option.

MP3 player could just refer to the fact the the radio will play MP3 CD'S. (if its a Concert II+, not a Concert II)

Ah, MP3 CDs would be no good! iPOD connector would be fine though, as woudl SD cards.

It did have seats nets and the storage pack option. I was thinking more of an engine undertray though! Do they have these?

Thanks for the replies so far folks.

undertrays are standard. No SD card reader in a B7 unless you have RNS-E sat nav fitted.
